Finding Hope. Creating Change.

Meet

CAROLINA ALVAREZ

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

"Some people become therapists because they chose a career. Carolina became one because caring for others has always been part of who she is."

She founded Change M.F.C.R. with one simple mission: to create a place where every person who walked through the door would be met with kindness, compassion, and hope. Whether you're facing anxiety, relationship struggles, family conflict, or life's unexpected challenges, Carolina is committed to walking beside you not just as a therapist, but as someone who genuinely believes in your ability to heal and grow.

CAROLINA ALVAREZ

My therapeutic approach is nonjudgmental, collaborative, and deeply human-centered. I believe meaningful change begins when people feel safe enough to speak openly, be fully themselves, and know they will be heard without judgment.

While therapeutic techniques and clinical strategies can provide helpful guidance, I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the foundation of effective counseling. My goal is not to fit people into a specific method, but to understand each individual and family as they are—their experiences, culture, values, relationships, and personal goals.

Together, we identify realistic and achievable steps toward healing and growth. Depending on each client’s needs, I may draw from solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and systems theory. These approaches serve as tools, but the process always remains personal, flexible, and centered on what works best for you.

My experience has strengthened my belief that individuals are deeply connected to the families and environments around them. When appropriate, understanding those relationships can help create healthier communication, stronger support systems, and lasting change.

The most important part of my work is creating a space where individuals, couples, and families can unload what they have been carrying, explore difficult thoughts and emotions, and find healthy solutions they can apply in everyday life.

Whether counseling is new to you or something you have experienced before, I invite you to give me the opportunity to meet you, understand your story, and help you move toward the goals that matter most to you.

Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your journey.
