Aixa M. Ortiz is an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has devoted her career to serving those in need through non-profit agencies. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Both as a front-line employee and as a leader, Aixa has shown her
passion for helping children, families, and adults living with a vast range of mental health diagnoses for over 15 years. Certified in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and grounded in the power of genuinely connecting with clients, she
utilizes a safe, positive approach to healing. As a leader, she has empowered many therapists to fulfil their full potential to help those in need. In addition to her direct mental health work, she has taught at the university level, and has provided many workshops for her community and peers. In her free time,
she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and appreciating the beauty of different beaches.
